Biologic therapy:
a type of medicine that helps the bodys defense system (immune system) fight the cancer
Bladder:
a holding place for urine

Intravenous pyelography (IVP):
a procedure in which a dye is put into a vein. The dye travels to the kidneys, ureters, and bladder. X-rays are then taken to see where the dye stops, which shows if there is a blockage

Kidney:
an organ that helps your body get rid of waste and extra water, which makes up urine

Metastatic kidney cancer:
cancer that has spread from the kidney to another part of the body

Renal cell carcinoma:
the most common type of kidney cancer. It starts in the tubes inside the kidneys that filter waste and water out of the blood to make urine

Ureter:
the tube through which urine passes from the kidneys to the bladder
Urethra:
the tube through which urine empties from the bladder and leaves the body
Urine:
fluid made up of waste and water from your body
Urologic oncologist:
surgeons who specialize in cancers of the urinary tract
Urologist:
a doctor who specializes in diseases of the urinary tract, which includes the kidneys
