There are many tests used to find a tumor and diagnose kidney cancer. You may have already had some of these tests, or you may have them in the future. These tests may include:
- Physical exam
- Urine and blood tests
- MRI, CT scan, or ultrasound
- Biopsy
- Intravenous pyelography (IVP , a procedure in which a dye is put into your vein and travels to the kidneys, ureters, and bladder. X-rays are then taken to see where the dye stops, which shows if there is a blockage
